Skinner interviewed with Cenk tonight
It wasn't an earthshaking interview, but I liked it.

Skinner--David Allen--talked about the origin of DU, and the evolution and success of the website. For him, it evolved from something that was merely a hobby into a full-time job.

For me, it was a kick to see David note the humor here--even briefly.

Perhaps the most important part of the interview had David acknowledging divisons here, and even acknowledging that our rules don't work perfectly.

But the crafty bastard managed to repeatedly emphasize that we are a community, and we are "community-driven."

I surrender to him, happily. He's absoutely right. We are community-driven. And all the more thanks to David, and Dave, and Brian . They are our Three Kings, who make all of this possibnle.

A salute to them and to all iof us on DU's 10th anniversary. :patriot:

2. Thanks for the links
Most of us haven't seen David interviewed, snd, as members here, we naturally have some curiosity about him.

3. He sounded great! We are represented well.
I hope some day there will be a big party or conference where all can meet and celebrate DU.

4. I''m with you there, brother!
Du has meetups, mostly locally. That's probably all we need to support our local activism, though a party convention might give us opportunity for a broader DU reunion.

5. How long 'till you know who turns that into "communism"?
And what is ten years -- tin and aluminum? Maybe we should all chip in and buy the admins some kazoos.

:P
