Here's hoping that McCain's recommendation of Lieberman for Secretary of Defense is enough
to deep six any possibility of that hawk being in charge of the nation's war machine.

2. Yeah, reported this morning on MSNBC & Lieberman is appearing
on MJ in a few minutes, probably seeing it as a preliminary job interview.

3. Ummm, Joe? (and Joe) -- it's over. Get used to it.
The word "quisling" has now officially been replaced with "lieberman."

5. He was asked on MJ if this position was something he saw in his future and about

McCain's recommendation. He feigned ignorance of McCain's rec (something I'm sure they cooked up together) and he proceeded to outline why he thought Saddam Hossein had WMD and we were justified in going into Iraq. Asked what he based his statement on, he referenced the Dalfour (can't retrieve the spelling right now from the memory bank) report. Arianna Huffington told him that that answer alone is a good reason for her to hope that he's not offered the job. Lots of uncomfortable laughter around the table. She wished him luck in any other future endeavor but that one. He also called her "sweetheart."

4. Joementum's Ticket Is Punched...
He's leaving with a wimper, not a bang. He's gone from being the VP candidate in 2000 to a pariah ten years later. He lost any real effectiveness other than to play turd in the punchbowl and his popularity ratings in his state are putrid. He's quitting cause he knows he won't get the free passes he did in '06 and doesn't have the heart to fight.

I don't see much love for Joementum inside the White House. Remember, he spoke at the rushpublican convention and actively campaigned against this President. I don't see him ever getting near the White House other than on the tour.

Cheers...
