Occupy Oakland just voted to another port shut down
on the west coast. Three major ports to shut down on Dec 12th. I don't know the details (yet) regarding the votes of the other occupations or how to engage them. I know we're talking about Seattle, Oakland and I think San Pedro (L.A.). I'll be going this next week to the meetings.

1. Another day, another port
This is how this will happen, it is the way it's happened in the past.

They will not surrender to democracy easily.

We will have to surround them and prevent them from doing harm.

We will have to cut off the reason for their existence: Money.

4. Occupy Oakland has been talking to the longshoremen
and specifically those from the ILWU in Longview, WA. They've been screwed by their company, EGT. They were the ones who told OO back in October that if we formed a line, they would not cross it specifically for the reasons that are in this article (Nov. 2nd General Strike resulted). http://www.thestand.org/2011/09/heres-why-longshore-workers-are-so-angry/
A great summary paragraph from the article: "To sum up: a taxpayer-subsidized international conglomerate (EGT from Japan), which is operating on public property, is suing the public so it can avoid paying the area’s standard wages and undercut its competitors that do. Then, it exacerbated tensions with the local labor community by importing union workers from another jurisdiction to cross the picket lines."

6. We are winning. Ignore that they will fight back. Stay on target. We are winning.
Do not accept half-measures or offers from the enemy.
