It seems the GOP and the rest of the right wing parrots, didn't get the memo; the majority of the American people chose hope over fear. Instead of working with the new administration to find solution's to the enormous challenges that we're facing; Republicans and their mouth pieces have been planting all kinds of hateful seeds of doubt, into the minds of those who are close to the edge. These folks on the edge are gullible, paranoid and ignorant. They also have access to firearms which makes them extremely dangerous. I do believe that ultimately individuals are responsible for their own actions; that said, people with access to any form of media should be held accountable for whatever vile, hateful things they say. I really wish the Democrats and decent Republicans would take a stand against the insane things that Michelle Bachmann and other elected officials within the republican party have said. Here are a few famous Bachmann quotes :

* "I want people in Minnesota armed and dangerous on this issue of the energy tax."

* "Bachmann has also claimed that "Barack Obama and his wife Michelle held anti-American views and couldn't be trusted in the White House."

* "What I would say is that the news media should do a penetrating expose and take a look. I wish they would. I wish the American media would take a great look at the views of the people in Congress and find out, are they pro-America or anti-America? I think the American people would love to see an expose like that.”

Here a few more quotes from republicans fanning the flames..

* Glen Beck claims that : "Obama is not leading the world to socialism, but instead the president is marching the nation towards a happy faced fascism."

* Sarah Palin said: "Obama is palling around with terrorists."

* ''Obama's plans are "one big down payment on a new American socialist experiment," asserts House minority leader John Boehner.
* He's "the world's best salesman of socialism," says Republican Senator Jim DeMint.
* "Lenin and Stalin would love this stuff," declares Mike Huckabee.
* Sean Hannity derides his agenda as "socialism you can believe in."
* "Obama is "a radical communist," warns Alan Keyes."

The end result of spreading fear and hate is this: "After the election, one of the only segments of the retail economy that did well was in guns: "Weapons dealers in much of the United States are reporting sharply higher sales since Barack Obama won the presidency a week ago. Buyers and sellers attribute the surge to worries that Obama and a Democratic controlled Congress will move to restrict firearm ownership."

That seems to be a theory that the killer of three police officers over the weekend, Richard Poplawski bought into. Richard was "convinced the nation was secretly controlled by a cabal that would eradicate freedom of speech, take away his guns and use the military to enslave the citizenry." The right-wing parrots have put the word out that FEMA camps created under Bush, will be used by the Obama administration to imprison folks who disagree with his policies. I get e-mail from these nuts all the time.

The level of paranoia and rage is very frightening. We should fear terrorist like Bin Laden, but we should also fear the home grown terrorist right here in our own backyards. Unfortunately I think we are going to see more of these violent outburst. Yes, people should be able to speak freely, but they should also speak responsibly....Especially elected officials. Other cases that may have been influenced by right wing hate..
