4. In Reagan's day, they used liberal as a dirty word so much

that I went to the dictionary and looked it up to see if I missed part of the definition. Nope, I hadn't. It meant what I always thought it meant..open minded.
Propaganda is powerful and works on many people...I don't buy into it cause I question stuff and seek my own answers.
O'Donnell is totally correct in what he's saying and I say "Bravo".

5. Even before Reagan

As a girl I remember catching the news with my parents sometimes. It seemed to me that whenever Republicans said the word liberal they said it like it was some horrible ting. In my mind I grew to assume liberals were awful. I finally asked my parents "what's a liberal?" and they explained.

I'd say the R's have been making "liberal" a dirty word for many decades.
