Iconic photo with Vietnam protester and iconic photo from OWS protests

An unjust war.....

An unjust society.......

The circle is unbroken. The need to push back against regressive forces never stops. Never be fooled by periods where they submerge completely beneath the surface to lull the masses.

Today, they have gotten so brazen that they flaunt their power and their goals. Never stop pushing to deny them the higher ground. The fight and the climb back is always arduous and dangerous.

In addition, do not assume those that should be on your side are really with you because they may in fact be dragging their feet. There are some who surreptitiously impede others.

Trust, BUT VERIFY who is with you.

Anonymous goes after him, and exposes everything he does, including what cereal he eats for Breakfast. My guess is, he starts his day with a big heaping bowl of Lucky Charms floating in Orange Crush!

2. The first photo was from Kent State I believe?
Four Dead in Ohio shut down protests at that time.

Not sure why the anti-war movement fractured from the civil rights movement. Maybe most white kids were still "too comfortable not resisting."

I think people are ready to face the violence head on...as in the struggle for Civil Rights.

Then as now a tipping point has been reached.

The status quo is no longer tolerable.

7. My point is though that I think it is to the tipping point.
There was a comfortable lifestyle for young white kids to fade away into in 1970.

I don't think a few real bullets and bodies would stop this movement this time.

I think that would turn this full onslaught Egypt.

It's gotten to intolerable. 99% of us...or damn near it are Rosa Parks.

More people are waking up everyday.

10. It would be an incredible irony
... if Lt Hill were the son of that protestor. He's not, of course, but I wonder how many police have fathers or mothers who were on the other side of the barricades in 1965?

11. I can tell ya of 2 police who had ME on the other side of the barricades back then.
Both my brothers were/are police, both extremely rigid, domineering, angry, controlling people.
Haven't spoken to them in over 25 years now.
Neither of them have accepted the youngest brother, years younger, who is gay.
He is the only family member I talk to.

13. Glad you are sticking with him
Being gay with hostile family members can be very lonely, and very painful.
