He was "supposed" to "retreat" to the demonstration so that they could beat him there. Which is why they wouldn't let him walk AWAY from the demonstration, TOWARDS his home.

He was retreating every single step of the way and posed absolutely no threat whatsoever. He didn't try to circle the cops, he was SHOVED sideways by the cop who instantly started to beat him and he was STILL retreating. It makes no difference what he did beforehand when they didn't beat him, it matters what he was doing right before they beat him, and CLEARLY right before they beat him he WAS retreating and WAS posing absolutely no threat whatsoever. There is no question that if he was beaten because earlier he attempted to circle around the police to leave the area then the reason he was beaten was in RETALIATION for that, and that is not only uncalled for but illegal. The police are not authorized to use force unless the person is an IMMEDIATE threat, and there is no question whatsoever that he posed no immediate threat.

I've never felt the police ever "protected or served" anyone but the monied elite, themselves, and anyone who can benefit them (drug raids are PROFITABLE since they get to keep 85% of the CASH they find in those raids - as they have in my old town Azusa back in the 90's that helped fund the new police station that locked my 16-year-old daughter up for SIX HOURS, before they deemed it fair to call me (funny, but I can't find any article of the funding of the new Azusa Police Dept anywhere on the net, but it was in the local newspaper).

We're nothing. We're collateral damage. Sad part is, our hard-earned tax dollars are paying to fund the very brutes who take any opportunity to slam us into submission, and make us shut the fuck up.
