1. You forgot to include pictures of Iraq and Afghanistan
Most police forces have preferences for hiring veterans, who go to the head of the recruiting queue.

2. Does anyone have that cops name or badge number?
He needs immediate separation from the force, and there should be a civil lawsuit against him at the very least.

3. The huge mobilization is the 1% reminding us (and those in the pic) that they're the ones in control
and that we'd better remember it.

FAIL

11. Yeah? Well, they're wrong.
You know that and I know that, and pretty soon they will know it, too.

7. Gas masks...classy.
Goons always seem to be the same kind of creatures when given the chance to provoke and use violence on innocent people.

8. I was going to post the fire hose ones, but thought the concern trolls would say it's not "police"
even though Bull Connor basically deputized the Birmingham Fire Department.

thanks for posting this! :hi:

9. It was the Fire Department?!
Somehow that's even worse!

I didn't catch that. Thanks, CreekDog. I am honestly afraid someone will end up dead. It doesn't have to happen!!!

12. "His office gave him responsibility for administrative oversight of the Birmingham Fire Department"
"...Connor ordered the city's fire hoses, set at a level that would peel bark off a tree or separate bricks from mortar, to be turned on the children. Boys' shirts were ripped off, and young women were pushed over the tops of cars by the force of the water. When the students crouched or fell, the blasts of water rolled them down the asphalt streets and concrete sidewalks.<68> Connor allowed white spectators to push forward, shouting, "Let those people come forward, sergeant. I want 'em to see the dogs work."<20><69> "

13. So far no one has been killed. That did happen in the 60s. I hope
we are not going to have to go there.
