Terry McStupid loused things up by running. Moran was the right choice, but the other idiot, Deeds, a total waste of space, got the nomination instead. Virginia might be a "purple" state, but I live in Tidewater, one of the reddest parts of the state and dealing with some of the right wingers in this area is frustrating beyond belief.
