Friends: Many of you will have seen the videos of police brutality at UC Davis on Friday Nov. 18. This occurred due to Chancellor​ Katehi's order for police to clear tents from the quad, set up in solidarity​ with Occupy Cal and with the national occupation​ movement. What we need now is more of what the administra​tion cannot tolerate: TENTS. Hundreds of tents. Please use this page to order tents, which will be shipped to Davis. They will be used to cover the quad, in an ongoing demand for Chancellor​ Katehi's resignatio​n. And they will cover the quad again, every time they are removed by the police.

I wish him well with his tenure case.

Luckily, UC faculty, I believe, have pretty hard and fast T&P criteria written into contracts, so tenure denial is generally less arbitrary.
