If there are any TRUE independent voters who visit this site... |
|
How can any you believe that the budget impasse is Obama's fault?? When the republicans will not move an inch on taxes.. They have been stuck on stupid since before Obama came into office.. They said their only goal was to defeat him in 2012.. Soooooo IF you are truly independent how can you not see whats going on and NOT punish the republicans for there inflexibility??

1. I WAS when I first joined years ago... |

I would vote for both Dems and Repubs in local elections. i knew many of them. My Senator was republican as long as I can remember. And he was a good man. I never vote republican for president. But I abstained to vote to re-elect Clinton. But then things started to go to hell and I found DU just after it was formed. My senator died, his son replaced him. He's a good man but was too partisan. Bush drove this country into a partisan hell hole.
My Senator was primaried by a tea partier, won, but was too damaged to defeat the Dem. My new Senator is Sheldon Whitehouse. Now Senator Chafee is Governor Chafee, and he has held both offices previously held by his father. He's an independent hated by both parties.
The entire republican party is anathema to the American ideal. I can and will never vote for them again. Ever.
