"Game on," the Romney campaign says as they release their first deceitful and dishonest attack ad
Edited on Tue Nov-22-11 08:56 AM by bigtree
Democrats are pushing back on Mitt Romney's new ad attacking President Obama for distorting Obama's own words from the 2008 campaign.

The first ad this season from the GOP presidential hopeful, which begins running today as Obama visits New Hampshire, quotes then-candidate Obama as saying: "If we keep talking about the economy, we're going to lose."

What the ad doesn't say is that Obama is quoting an adviser to Arizona Sen. John McCain, the 2008 GOP presidential nominee. Romney's campaign acknowledges the reference to McCain, in a news release and e-mail to supporters sent out Monday night.

Ben LaBolt, a spokesman for Obama's re-election campaign, is quoted in The Washington Post as saying the Romney spot "a deceitful and dishonest attack." The Democratic National Committee says the 60-second spot "continues a pattern of dishonesty and a lack of credibility on issues that matter to the American people."

2. it's a bit like last time
when republicans turned away from Romney and chose McCain.

He tried to shift his focus to the President today, but Gingrich is firing up the party faithful with some old standards that are sure to appeal.

4. It was the last 7 months, but your point is still valid

She went back to April for Huckabee and Trump being front runners.

It may be time for Ron Paul to peak. He is running 2nd in both Iowa and New Hampshire. If he can pick up that ten to fifteen percent that keeps floating between losers he could win both of them and then pretty much run the board on Mittens.

Wouldn't that be fun? Crazy Uncle Ron debating President Obama. That might just be the final straw for the (R) party that we have all been looking for.
