Marijuana derangement syndrome at the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department

Reefer Madness: CA Cop Worries Legalizing Pot Will Make Window Washers Fall From High-Rises -- And Kill Passersby

Los Angeles County Sheriffs Department’s Robert McMahon has been drinking the Kool-Aid, and he is very worried about how decriminalized pot may affect California's future. His vision is straight ouf of a 1930s pot propaganda film.

“What will happen to our kids if this stuff is legal? Think about 20 years from now what L.A. will look like?” he asks RollingOut.com.

McMahon is of the following opinion:

“We’re talking about loss of work and collisions, work-related industrial injuries. Somebody comes to work stoned, and they are working some heavy equipment or up on a high-rise — a window washer that’s stoned — not only could he (or she) injure himself, but some of his or her negligence could cause someone else to be injured.”

Of course, marijuana is not nearly as impairing or dangerous as alcohol. And legalizing marijuana does not necessarily mean more people will smoke it, or that more window washers will smoke it, or that more window washers wil smoke it before work and then fall from a giant high-rise only to land on a mother pushing her infant in a stroller. Okay, so I added that last part. .........(more)

1. False.
It is SCARY that someone in law enforcement is that far into what I like to call, 'being a stupid fucking idiot'. I blame George W. Bush for making STUPID, popular.

2. I would think going to work stoned is about the only way many people can face it.
There are some really sucky jobs out there.

3. Thank God it's still illegal then!
Because thanks to the LAPD it's totally impossible to get weed in LA already, right? The stupid never ends...

4. I am using marijuana RIGHT NOW and BUILDING AN ATOMIC BOMB
It's a complex design based on n-dimensional origami folding of "Screaming Yellow Zonkers" boxes.

After I complete that task, I'm going to get even higher and build a 1:1 scale model of the Saturn V rocket.

Or I'll sit quietly in my chair, headphones on and "Zero 7" playing.

Either way, I'm a marijuana-crazed mo'fo'.

7. And I'm sure McMahon routinely gets tanked up at cop watering holes and then drives home.
But apparently that's okay, because HE does it, and he's not a damn dirty happy.

Fucking hypocrite.

OH MY GOSH! IT'S SO FRIGHTENING! WE MUST BAN BOOZE IMMEDIATELY AGAIN!
