Former Sen. Santorum supports profiling (airport security) based on religious beliefs and age, says it publicly and proudly and the crowd cheers and claps. Amazing.

1. What kind of profiling? |
|
Big, red "A"'s for Atheists? Big "G" for the Geritol abusers?
Of course they clap, you think anybody BUT an Authoritarian would go to one of these "John Birch is too Liberal for ME" lovefests?

4. Mr. Santorum needs to learn his HISTORY |
|
in that "Catholics (him) need not apply". It hasn't been THAT long ago, and in many ways, still exists today, Ricky. Maybe this is why our Founding Fathers in their wisdom wanted to keep religion out of our government?

Sorry if I sounded annoyed -- I honestly thought it was Santorum who hadn't clarified it, and so my brusqueness was directed at him.

10. Mr. Frothy is about as "religious" as I am transluscent. It's just an act to get support... |
|
...from the terminally stupid.

12. He says to "go after the bombers not the bombs"... |
|
but instead how about we go after the (unquestioned, authoritarian) "dogma" that fuels ALL such acts of stupidity, regardless of the source?

14. The really sad thing is no one mentioned that the NYC suspect is hispanic - profiling by religion is |
|
not possible. ( It is also unAmerican, but that goes without saying - ignoring the moral problems here, consider it is NOT doable)
It is stunning how many of the people indicted as terrorists would not be picked up - starting from Reed, the shoebomber who was white; the underwear bomber, who was Nigeria and not easily labeled Muslim; and this weekend's man arrested in NYC, who is hispanic.
Meanwhile, consider the TSA people being asked to do so. Will they screen friends of mine who are Indian (some Hindu, some Christian), not being able to distinguish between their Indian names and Pakistani ones. There will be some that are easy to assess, but not all of them.
Will they then ask for religion on state issued documents - if so, I recommend out of respect for our values, that everyone list "none", even if they belong to a some house of worship.

to endorse him for her late husband's seat a few years after Senator Heinz died. She was actually kind in that assessment.
