Libya will descend into conflict in weeks, predicts captured Saif
Saif remains at a secret location in custody in a private house in the town. In a ranting video message, he said that ‘in a couple of months or maximum one year’ regions that banded together to oust his family would turn on one another.
...

Tribesman Yussef Saleh al-Hotmani yesterday claimed he forsook a million euros to betray Saif. He says he was offered the cash to guide a ‘VIP’ across the remote border into Niger. Guessing who his secret client was, and fearing he would be shot rather than paid, he led Saif straight to the Zintan Brigade.
...

But he said: 'I was offered millions but all the money they had would not buy a pebble of our sand or one drop of our martyrs' blood.'

1. Made me think of this
Yes, it's a ridiculous hagiography of the 'Libyan Liberation Front,' who will restore Libya to Ghaddafi-like goodness any day now.

From where else, but . . .

2. I don't read Counterpunch - most of the articles are crap.
I do follow this twitter feed:

http://twitter.com/#!/AletheiaLibya

It mocks the LLF and the Mathaba predictions and denials.

4. The increase of antagonisms in Libya
So, the war in Libya is over, right? Nothing of the sort! Now Libya is consumed with contradictions of the Libyan National Council what already resulted armed conflicts between its wings. Nobody is allowed to enter the conflict area in the outskirts of Tripoli so no one knows what’s the real reason of these clashes but it is rumored that LNC squads attacked each other after they couldn’t came to agreement who will control the main roads leading to Libya’s capital and took different sides in conflict between tribes in question of parceling of land. This way conflict in Libya came to a new level which means that civil war near at hand... So what was the point of taking Gaddafi down? US & NATO gave Libyans a hope for the better but left them with a disappointment and ruined the country! The US-NATO recipe for democracy can bring only chaos everywhere it used and Libya is not an exception!
