Ellen Lindgren is a local school board president in Wisconsin who says Governor Walker’s $1.6 billion cut to education is doing enormous damage. So she’s active collecting petition signatures to recall Walker in Middleton, Wisconsin.

: “We’re going to every door twice and we’re also doing drive bys. And the people who are volunteering are just unbelievable people. I’ve got a 90 year old that’s doing her block who is absolutely outraged at what’s going on. We’ve got high school students who are just turning 18 who are outraged at what’s happening to public education. So we run the gamut.”

4. They are lying!
According to the Walker commercials everything is coming up roses. Now that communities have the tools they need they're running in the black and stuff like that. All they had to do was eradicate collective bargaining and lay off people and it's all beautiful.

5. We have a Recall yard sign.
A neighbor who we have never spoken with stopped at our house asking if we had a petition. 80 yrs old.

7. $1.6 billion is a big number
It translates into a decrease in state aid of $830 per pupil in Milwaukee, $888 in Madison, and more in many communities. Next year even more is scheduled to be cut.
