BREAKING: UC Davis Chancellor MIGHT be completely full of SHIT and LYING...
Live on MSNBC just now, so no link...she is claiming that she instructed the police to use peaceful means and that they defied their direct orders.

She just decided to make this statement TODAY???

2. I heard this on my local MSM this past weekend.
They said she said (lol!!!) she didn't authorize the use of pepper spray, just ordered them to clear the area. Whatever the eff that implies is up to the interpreter.

7. The UC Chancellor is claiming that she only wanted the cops to remove tents...
...and wanted no force & no arrests:

"I explicitly directed the chief of police that violence should be avoided at all costs...I directed police only to take down the tents," she said. "My instructions were for no arrests and no police force."

===

It is strange that she didn't tell the public all that, sooner.

18. How do you take down tents without violence to personal property?
The only violence apparent in that situation was perpetrated by the officers. The students were totally non-violent.

It is probably very difficult to take down tents without inflicting physical harm on the property of the students if not on their persons.

She is an engineer ( I think she is a mechanical engineer). How in the world did she think the tents could be taken down without violence on the part of the police?

She was asking people to use force to remove the tents and then to simply stop?

That is not how police officers work.

23. People on camping trips setup and take down tents without damaging them.
Besides, the word "violence" is usually for people, not their property.

12. She also claims she told police chief don't do it at all if there are too many students.
"We told them very specifically to do it peacefully, and if there were too many of them, not to do it, if the students were aggressive, not to do it. And then we told them we also do not want to have another Berkeley."

Did they directly defy her order or not?

14. The UC Chancellor talked to the police chief.
So there is still the question of what the police chief told the cops before firing people.

I don't believe organizations should quickly firing people after bad video goes up. Lack of due process in firing says that they have a low opinion of their own workers.

ACORN quickly firing its workers led to the end of ACORN. The question would have been will-ACORN-fire-workers-or-not if ACORN spent a month investigating, while with the quick firing, the question became, should Congress end all funding of ACORN?

16. She can't up and fire them, there's a process.
But she was slow to suspend those two and then, the chief.

She's a terrible administrator and she should put everyone out of their misery and get lost.
