2. As it was designed to. I feared this would happen, Newt is their savior.
Just shoot me.

5. Those who won't learn from history are doomed to repeat it
Gingrich has a closetful of skeletons. He also makes McCain/Palin look reasonable and moderate by comparison. It's unfortunate that NOBODY in the press seems to have the balls to ask why Tiffany allowed him to have a $1 million unsecured credit line while his wife worked for a lobbyist that was negotiating on behalf of Tiffany. Aren't they a publicly traded company as well?

Then again, all we have to do is wait. He's been married to the current Mrs. Gingrich for over 11 years now. Girl's getting a bit long in the tooth. I'm betting his zipper's getting mighty itchy.

:woohoo:

11. Newt's skeletons aren't even in the closet
The man was removed as speaker of the house on ethics violations. He can't possibly win. Flavor of the month.

7. Well...
The crazies on the right may like newt, but a lot of the "christians" don't! Newt has a whole lot of baggage, and being married 3 times just isn't what the christian right likes to see in their candidate. He also had some questionable behavior that he didn't want to come out in an ethics committee investigation, so he left office on his own. I really can't see Newt doing well, except maybe with the nuts in the party. However I also heard, didn't watch the debate last night, that he came out in defense of the illegals that have been in this country a long time and that didn't go over very well with the "tea party" nuts. Remember what happened to Perry over the dream act thing.

Even if by some miracle Newt managed to win the nomination, he just won't be able to pull of a national win. The man is so full of BS, has back peddled almost as much as Romney, and has more baggage than most of the others put together that hasn't even come out yet.

I look for Romney to start going after him, and who knows what will come out of the closet when that happens. I still think Mitt has this one because it's pretty much is turn, must like it was with McCain. The powers that be know the chance of taking back the WH is very, very slim with the car load of "clowns" they have running, so why not let Mitt be the sacrificial lamb this time around, like McCain was in 2008. Let him have his turn and then that will be it for Mitt. In 2016 they can put out their "heavy" hitters and hope they have a better chance to take on whoever the democrats come out with.

10. Rumors back in the day were that Capitol police looked the other way...
...while Newt was getting his whistle blown in his car. Antics and shenanigans are Newt's middle names.

14. There's nobody else?
I know we're told that there's more fish in the sea, bla, bla, bla, but ladies, what is attractive enough about Newt Gingrich that three different women not only agreed to marry him, God knows how many were servicing him beforehand and during as well?

I'm serious.

He's dumb as a box of hair. His ideas are repulsive to anyone with any education whatsoever. He's not charming, or funny, or interesting. WHAT IS IT? It's not that he has that much money, either. Ten million? Whatever. There isn't enough cash in the world for me (or any other self-respecting female) to perform various acts on him in his office during business hours, for instance.

Again: I do not get this. Could anyone please explain?

9. I wonder where CNN saw Kerry in a national post at this point, or McCain in 2008.

These polls are absolutely meaningless except for entertainment purposes.

13. At this point in 2008, we had NO idea who would be the nominee
Hell, McCain didn't really win the nomination, he was just the only one who hadn't crashed and burned yet.

This time in 2008, Guliani, Huckabee, and even Thompson were still contenders. And so was Romney!
