Ron Paul Reaps Big Donations From Federal Workers (Video)
Nov. 22 (Bloomberg) -- Ron Paul, the U.S. presidential candidate who says he'll shrink government the most, is attracting more campaign donations than any of his Republican rivals from both U.S. government workers and employees of the biggest federal contractors. Megan Hughes reports on Bloomberg Television's "Bottom Line." Mark Crumpton also speaks. (Source: Bloomberg) (Bloomberg)

1. The biggest single workforce in the USA is going to log a lot of contributions to any candidate
so don't read too much into it without looking at percentages and comparing apples to apples.

3. I knew a lot of federal employees who were pretty right wing.
They always thought of themselves as exceptional and would be immune from cuts. And they had pretty good retirement benefits.

4. To answer your question, extremely stupid.
Which is why my hope for this country remains low, but I cling on to the budding hope of OWS to turn conversations sane at some point.

6. It blew my mind how many Federal Employees were Republicans
Can you say "voting against your interests?"

7. Believe it or not, there are a lot of conservative Federal Employees
I used to joke that I was one of three Democrats at my agency back in the '90's. It's changed a lot since Boosh. However, the idiots are still there. I regularly see a car with a "Government is not the solution, Government is the problem" bumpersticker in the Senior Executive section of the parking lot where I work. Seriously. This means that this person has been part of the problem for quite a while.

Oh, and by "Senior Executive Parking", I mean parking close to the building. Not out with the 99%.
