Sheriff's officials confirmed that some type of plane had crashed, and rescue crews were on their way to the crash site in rugged terrain near the peak of a mountain. ..............(more)

What a terrible tragedy.

At 8:30 P.M. local time, I could see helicopters still hovering over the Flat Iron, which is the central section of the mountain in this photo. No sign of fire from here, however.
