A laugh like crystal bells. My response to a Republican campaign phone call that became infectious

Yes, do you know who he is?

And the laughing starts. I did not know I could lose it so beautifully, and to laugh so thoroughly without hanging up.

Yes, gulp, cackle, squint the eyes, sniff.
I know who he is why do you think I'm laughing about you calling me on his behalf?

I just kept giggling. Did not say anything else. Kept with it, enjoying the moment of acting unpredictably, just thinking that made me burst out in a full happy belly laugh explosion.

Suddenly, the caller started to laugh with me. We were a duo.
We said good bye.

And now I'm telling you about it.
In retrospect, making fun of them is an option we need to consider more often.

4. They are rare for me. My basic phone number is listed as a business. I think

that helped with the hilarity and spontaneity. I still start to laugh remembering it.

7. The exact same thing happened to me in a Doctors Office, someone mentioned Creationism.

It was me, our regular doctor, and some kind of an intern in the room. We were chatting and somehow the term Creationism got mentioned, and all three of us sort of looked at each other for a moment and then just started howling. Couldn't quit, tears down the cheeks sort of laughing. Laughing at the idea that some idiots could believe in such nonsense. And just laughing and laughing and laughing.
