4. perhaps Germany and Japan would come pretty close - but I can't think of any other examples
unless one was to include the other western European countries the U.S. assisted in liberating from Nazi occupation during World War II and that happened a long, long time ago.

But yeah, it's much easier to name countries that we've toppled in favor of oppressive dictatorships or in the case of Greece a straight up fascist junta.
