So I'm doing the hop-around thing on Wikipedia and - don't ask -somehow I wound up on Johnny Crawford's entry - many of you certainly recall him as the son of The Rifleman, played by Chuck Connors. It must be said that they had about the best father/son relationship on TeeVee then or now. As a kid, I thought the conversations and life-lessons which they discussed were terrific.
So it turns out that Johnny Crawford did some summer stock work with none other than Victoria Jackson, that moranic (sic) RW nutjob, and convinced her to pursue a career in Hollywood. So we have him to thank for THAT.
Sheesh....

3. Oh yeah...he was a big star in his day... |

My BIL was President of his fan club in his town in NY....
people loved him and of course, his on-screen father was the peace-loving guy, who according to MAD magazine, stacked more bodies than anyone in the West. Great parody of The Rifleman in MAD, btw.

We have the folks at NBC/SNL, and all the others who actually hired this nut job to thank for THAT. If nobody had given her jobs, we'd never have heard of her.

She was pretty popular. Then she decided to stop Occupying her brain and let Fox Occupy it for her.
