What if Freedoms of Speech/Religion/Press were restricted like Freedom of Assembly?
Would we as a nation tolerate:

  • Ideas can only be expressed between 8 AM and 10 PM
  • Said ideas must be limited to 80 dB or less
  • Newspaper dimensions cannot exceed 22" x 17"
  • Similarly, publications are limited to 4 pages per journal
  • Expressing yourself to more than a handful (or other vaguely-interpreted non-number) of people is unlawful
  • In order to hand in a thesis, you must first register it with your campus administration for their approval
  • If it exceeds 25 pages, it's unlawful
  • If you insist that it be accepted, you get pepper-sprayed
  • There really will be Grammar Police!
  • snopes.com can debunk rumours and myths, but they must do so only on government approved "free speech websites" on URLs not under the snopes.com domain (and no hotlinking or hyperlinks!)
  • Everyone is free to practice their religion on Sunday mornings between 8 AM and 2 PM. Sunday's not your holy day? Well, them's the rules....
  • You have a permit for that Rosary, right?

I'm sure you geniuses can think of a few more....

1. You must also go to state church if the separation of state and religion is removed.
If you are of the wrong denomination, your church will be uprooted or plowed over until you select the right denomination that the state sponsors, and you must apply for a license or permit to operate the church on a yearly basis, for a fee. If you cannot afford the fee, you must close your church or face prison time for holding an unlawful congregation.

2. The local restricitions being used to block houses of worship is the reason the
Religious Land Use and Institutionalized Persons Act was passed by the Federal government.

I won't hold my breath while the equivalent is passed for political protest.

3. Won't happen with religion

We are an unelected monarchy that retains power by appeasing the clergy and feudal barons. Only through fear of Satan can they keep the masses in line. There is a reason they are rewriting textbooks to include divine intervention.

Welcome to the year 1400. Can't wait until the inquisition.

of reasonable time, manner, and place which are perfectly constitutional.

You really should be aware of this, by now. the Classical example is yelling fire in a crowded theater.

Your option is to repeal the 1st amendment, and submit your own where time, manner, and place are strictly prohibited from consideration when formulating laws...basically an anarchist's wet dream, good luck with that.
