Many of you will not remember this and many others may have never known this but the raised single fist was often seen during the anti war years of the 70's. It was both a salute and a greeting, sometimes a long-distance wave that carried with it recognition of similar purpose and willingness to act. Occasionally I still find myself using it, and on even fewer occasions I get a raised fist in response. It makes me feel young again.
