Emma Sullivan, Kansas High School Student, Punished For Sam Brownback Tweet
A high school senior was punished after tweeting disparaging remarks about Kansas Gov. Sam Brownback.

After meeting Brownback on a field trip, 18-year-old Emma Sullivan tweeted, "Just made mean comments at gov brownback and told him he sucked, in person #heblowsalot."

After Brownback's office contacted the school about the tweet, Sullivan was called into the principal's office and reprimanded.

The principal "laid into me about how this was unacceptable and an embarrassment," she told the Wichita Eagle. "He said I had created this huge controversy and everyone was up in arms about it … and now he had to do damage control."

She also told NBC Action News that she was asked to write the governor a formal apology, but has yet to do so.

"I believe that it is my right to state my opinion," she said.

3. The same 'ol story would probably hold to be true that if Brownback
was a Democrat, Republicans would be praising the student on every news show and every paper across the country and faux news would have students in the high school lined up to comment

5. Sam Brownback sucks
Emma didn't create this "controversy," the dimwitted Brownback staffers did.

They really did a good job making Brownback look like a complete jack-ass

8. If I was Emma's father, I would rip that principal a new one.

"Okay, principal, let's get the facts straight here. You just LIED to my daughter. You LIED TO HER FACE. She did not cause the "controversy", but because you don't have the stones to lay the blame with the ass-kissing staffer of the thin-skinned governor, you blame Emma instead.

"You're a coward. How can you be in charge of shaping young minds when your mind is a puddle? How can you be a role model when you'd jump on the bandwagon and LIE to a MY DAUGHTER rather than stand up for truth? For First Amendment rights? For the god-damn Constitution?

"If the governor can silence you on this issue, what other issues are you being silenced on? What do you know that you're too cowardly to face?

"And what on God's green earth makes YOU think YOU have the god-damn right to punish my daughter for political speech? Would you have done the same thing if she praised Brownback, but his ass-kissing staff called to complain she was insufficiently supportive of him?

"Probably. You're part of the problem. People like Brownback and his staffers are exactly what's wrong with this country. The corporate media only asks them questions that can be answered with simple talking-points, and if you challenge them you get SAVAGED. And you're too spineless or too stupid to see that and stand up for reality.

"You will make my daughter apologize over your dead body. In fact, I'm taking here out for the biggest ice-cream cone she can carry to celebrate her standing up for her beliefs.

"I don't know what your reward is from Brownback for disregarding your beliefs, but I hope it's tasty."
