We're one more economic collapse from torches and pitch forks...
OWS will look like a camping trip in the country if Wall St and the now even bigger "too big to fail" banks rake us over the coals again.

Dodd/Frank is a joke. I can't remember where I heard it but someone said of it - "we have faster people to chase after the horses once they left the barn"......

How about closing the damn barn door?

15. Better go find a post that's nonsense then.
Cause this isn't.

The 08 melt down finally brought OWS - another melt down is gonna bring more.

4. Why is Dodd-Frank a joke?
The big banks are still TBTF but they are 10-20x stronger than any bank in Europe.

12. Well, it has Liquidation Authority to carve up a Bank of America into tiny fragments
if their capital falls below a safe minimum. (Glass-Steagall didn't)

I would think the bank haters would be delirious about that.

7. sssshhhh!
see, things are supposed to just go along as normal, the PTB say so.

and though it won't be pleasant, i hope that OWS can teach us something about community, because that's the only way to get through the coming mess... govt can't help us(it can't even help itself), we have to help each other. the Great Leveling is upon us. and if it isn't economic, it will be environmental.

but what do i know, i'm just a damn hippie!

10. I'm looking for a producer.
For a 12 minute comedy short. Only need a few hundred bucks that I won't have available for a few months (new business investment, I got nothin' till it works out). I have a director and a bunch of talent. It directly addresses the current situation, so producing it is time-critical.

Know anyone who wants fame and recognition?

11. Careful, the 'forks and torches' line interprets violence here...
I, for one know that it's hyperbole for protest, but others will claim this as violence.

16. In 1929, France, Germany, the US, the UK, Canada and the nations of Scandanvia..
...all had constitutions -- and in 1939, all but Germany had the same ones. And the same parties as they had in 1929.

And all of those countries were still capitalist.

The degree of immiseration required to get a revolution going you do not want to see, nor can you predict the outcome of one.

17. I don't want to see one, that's true.
In retrospect, I realize that OWS could only be sparked by young people and poor people.

People like me are too comfortable to challenge the System.

18. I think state and local debt is the next crisis. There
are way to many stupid graft projects being built on the local level. Harrisburg is just he tip of the iceberg.

21. Sounds like a republican campaign slogan
"Elect us and hasten the revolution!" (after our fascist policies cause war, destruction, death and misery)
