2. The school district SHOULD "take further action" - they should fire the asshole fascist principal.
His actions should not be allowed to stand unpunished.

4. A lesson in standing up to political intimidation that many others need to learn.
From someone who isn't even 18 yet.

7. What SHOULD be News is that...
Edited on Mon Nov-28-11 01:31 PM by MarianJack
...Kansas deciding to respect the First Amendment for someone speaking negatively about a right winger IS news worthy, rather than standard proceedure.

PEACE!

9. The issue has resulted in many teachable moments concerning the use of social media."

The Governor's staff should spend time on state business instead of bullying citizens.

10. And now Brownback has apologized for overreacting
Here is the governor's statement:

"My staff over-reacted to this tweet, and for that I apologize. Freedom of speech is among our most treasured freedoms.

"I enjoyed speaking to the more than 100 students who participated in the Youth in Government Program at the Kansas Capitol. They are our future.

"I also want to thank the thousands of Kansas educators who remind us daily of our liberties, as well as the values of civility and decorum.

"Again, I apologize for our over-reaction."

15. The bully has a black eye, and is now back-peddling.
Just admit it - You tried to rally your demented loser following (consisting mostly of loud / sweaty man-children and neck-beards) to bully a High School girl for having a bad opinion of you.

Did he come out and condemn it right away? Nope. Just when the public turned against him.

14. Government lurking?
So state government is lurking peoples' social media, and using that for political intimidation? In Canada, the federal government of Stephen Harper is doing the same thing. During the last federal election, the cons kicked a couple university students out of their rally because the students had previously attended a liberal gathering, and posted pictures of themselves at the gathering on their facebook page. The cons had lurked their facebook pages and saw the photos, and that was enough for persona non grata.

Soooo creepy.
