Drones cleared for domestic use across the US
Source: RT News

What do you know about drones? You know drones — those robotic, unmanned planes that fire missiles for the American military across Afghanistan, Pakistan and anywhere else the United States needs to get away with murder.
Well if you don’t know too much, don’t worry, that’ll change soon. The Federal Aviation Administration is looking into rules that will bring the controversial aircraft into the country, creating an United States airspace buzzing with tiny, robot planes to look over every inch of American soil — and maybe more.

The skies are already crowded enough without unmanned craft flying around, not to mention the aspect of Big Brother and the Patriot Act watching me sunbathing in my backyard.

3. We're beginning to look at lot like the MIDDLE EAST!!
I really don't like the expansion of use of all this military manpower and machines on US soil. We have already seen what the misuse of Military grade PEPPER SPRAY has done to OWS and the free people exercising their civil rights. This kind of upgrade is a further concentration of power in the hands of a few NUTS and could be very dangerous for our democracy. I don't like this at all. I remember when the stealth bomber flew over the stadium at a football game. It was terrifying, no sound, just show of power!! The people of Egypt are tired of living under military rule, I don't want us to adopt it here.

5. Okay, let me get this straight. TSA is groping my breasts & crotch b/c of the dreaded terrorism
and "fears" this aging, disabled woman is going to blow up the damn plane and the government is now okaying drones flying in US airspace. Drones. No, those can't be used for nefarious reasons. :sarcasm:

And then there's the increased spying on us....... :grr:

This country is fucked up beyond belief.

9. The actual story seems to be that the FAA plans to propose rules: that means such proposed rules
will be published in some future Federal Register with a period for public comment

The headline "Drones cleared for domestic use across the US" thus confuses the known past with the unknown future -- a mistake reputable news agencies generally try to avoid

Anyone, who is greatly interested in this, should be prepared to read the future Federal Register notice and should be prepared to submit comments on it

10. I've been wondering when the drones will start killing on this soil, first it will be immigrants,
then, activists that will be re-labeled as terrorists, etc, etc. Then throw out the whole concept of "guilty till proven innocent" because targets won't need court.
