Staff of New (R-SC) Gov has proven they deserve their higher salaries in two days!

Some of Haley's staff to get impressive salaries

...

Haley's inner circle includes her former campaign manager. He's now serving as chief of staff and making nearly $20,000 a year more than the governor herself. Haley has three deputy chiefs. One of them is longtime GOP activist Trey Walker, who will pull down almost $123,000. That's also considerably more than Haley's $106,000 salary.

The governor defends her actions, saying she has fewer employees on staff compared to former Governor Mark Sanford and expects more from them. "The only way I can do that is to get the brains, the work ethic, and true passion behind this," stated Haley, "I know that I've got a team that's done that, and I think we've proven that in our first two days in office."

5. Her state of the state address
recommended removing all funding for ETV and the state Arts Commission. Last Governor tried the same thing and it went nowhere, but this year the state is facing an almost $300 million deficit in the new budget.

2. Christie in NJ set the pattern. Lay off workers, hire pals at hugh salaries,
start to kill unions and pensions to "save money"...Republican politics as usual.

6. Snyder did the same in Michigan
They claim they are doing more than one job, but my bet is if they were put in charge of Dept A and B, they get an "assistant" to head up each.

9. It seems to be the GOP pattern...our new GOP governor here in PA
will probably start doing the same thing very soon-he just got sworn in last week.
