Why democrats on the national, state, regional, county, and city level lose elections
Democrats close Shasta County HQ in Redding

This week, the Democratic Central Committee of Shasta County closed its headquarters on Bechelli Lane in Redding. Although the main office is closed, the committee said it's still active and plans to appropriate more funds for community outreach and future election activities.

"We don't have very much use for a headquarters because we have nothing to do there," said Dugan Barr, the committee treasurer. "It simply makes no sense to be paying rent on an office that gets used very infrequently."

The December vote came down to 15 members in favor of closing the office and five against, said Dr. David O. Wilson, the committee chairman.

Many political party offices, especially those in rural counties, remain closed during nonelection years because their purpose primarily is registering voters, holding community events and providing campaign materials, activities done during an election year.

---------------------------

This office may have been the only office in the STATE north of Sacramento (unless there are offices in Chico and Eureka?) and it's closing.

Why is it closing? Because the people who ran it did NOTHING with the space, did NO organization, and were generally useless.

I've called them and asked if they have a list of Democrats in the county... no, they didn't have a list. WHEN I WAS A PRECINCT CAPTAIN IN MARIN COUNTY BACK IN 1994 WE HAD A DAMN LIST.

And now the democrats have officially pulled out of the North State when we should be redoubling our efforts.

Meanwhile, TPTB are trying to win elections in California based entirely on the Bay Area and LA. Get back to me in 2 years and we'll see how that worked out for ya.

2. The Tea Party is massive here
and you've better believe that the dems in many parts of the country are not sleeping. Hell, FRESNO's dems are way more put together than they are up here.
