What older features of DU do you miss?

Looking at some of the old screen grabs, I was reminiscing about some of the features we used to have. I miss the "Hate Mailbag" and "Auntie Pinko."

It also reminded me that a DU gatherings were so frequent, there was a dedicated spot on the front page to list them. I'm a proud participant of the first-ever DU gathering in Chicago. I also think Chicago had the most meet-ups.

8. Yep, he made LBN to go-to page to start your day.

It was a privilege to be able to attend his funeral and meet his mother, and I was so proud that DU came together to ensure that it was a fitting tribute to such a valued member of the community. Skinner even attended, which I think was a first and only for a DUer.

I also notice an awful lot of things get posted in GD that would be more appropriate in the lounge. I mean, the lady who doesn't shampoo her hair anymore is sort of cool, but... I'm not ashamed to admit that I'm just rather particular about some things; I want to see things filed in DU the way I file them in my head. And, what works for me doesn't work for everyone.

Hell, I miss the humor in general. Bunches of the people here used to be very funny, in a snarky, dark, wry, dry, sort of way. Not so much now.
