The cancelling of highly-rated progressive programming is nothing new. Won't be long before MSNBC programming is turned into corporate-friendly vanilla programming as their ratings slide so somewhere below CNNs.

MSNBC and Keith Olbermann have ended their contract. The last broadcast of “Countdown with Keith Olbermann” will be this evening. MSNBC thanks Keith for his integral role in MSNBC’s success and we wish him well in his future endeavors.

I'm not impressed with that John Stewart when it comes to this. Just yesterday, he did it again by mentioning Keith's Worst Person in the World segment as a comparison to right-wing rhetoric.

55. We can't say with certainty.
Edited on Fri Jan-21-11 09:38 PM by Arrowhead2k1
But all I know is that after John Stewart started calling him out and plugging his false equivalency between left and right, Olbermann was on the defensive a bit. He removed the WPIW segment basically for John Stewart, and he renamed it. John Stewart as late as yesterday still mentions it, as if that segment is just as bad as talking about "second amendment remedies". Either way, fuck him.

Olbermann > Stewart

just another corporate shill under all the humor. He doesn't come close to Keith for class. His interview with Rachel revealed a lot about him that was not very pleasant to watch.

64. True. Oberman was never a Beck, Palin, Hannity or Limbaugh.
Notice how the real haters and news liars and spinners are still given air time, and a progressive with a heart and armed with the truth is let go.
Howerver, Stewart is not that important-you give him to much credit. He can be an ignorant jerk.
