News Breaks, and I see it here first..reported within 5 minutes of the event itself..
Edited on Fri Jan-21-11 09:18 PM by Stuart G
I don't need another news source.
This is the best.

A whole arguement rests on whether we really need breaking news.
Nevertheless, if it breaks, it is here. Multiple sources, multiple honest comments.

This isn't about Keith, this is about finding out about important news.
Much will be written about Keith, but little will be written that DU got it out so fast, that we beat Huff Post.
We may have beat MSNBC TOO.

thanks to all who posted..I don't have cable, but this is better...Stuart

Oh..........and at 8:15pm Central 9:15 Eastern, there was
no mention of this at MSNBC

1. "...this is better..."
At least, until Verizon gets the courts to overturn the semi-Net Neutrality rules, and the telecomms can block this site.

Even if that doesn't happen, this may be "better," but will only reach, at most, about 1% of what MSNBC could. A mass presence is the name of the game when it comes to affecting public opinion, and the left is currently being squeezed out of the one foothold it had. :-(

4. If you come to DU for news...and opinion, you will get breaking news too.
Ok, we aren't always as quick as some. But who needs them. So much shit. Now this.
DU definitely beat Huffington Post on this story, cause people here posted when this happened cause posters wanted to share with the rest of us.

I am greatly saddened by this, but it ain't over..maybe at MSNBC, but there will be more.
Still to be here, when the news hits..It is amazing..
Special Thanks..to all who report all the news, all the time.
