I'm drinking Maddow's favorite cocktail, right now.

[Sonoman]

1 1/2 parts bourbon (I cracked open a bottle of Hirsch Special Reserve for this one)
1/2 parts Sweet Vermouth (I prefer Carpano Antica Formula)
a few dashes of bitters (Fee Bros)

Pour over ice in a shaker and stir gently. Never shake anything that doesn't contain fruit.

Pour thru strainer into a glass, over a good brandied (NOT Maraschino). I only use glasses by Botega del Vino.

I imagine this will be one of many.

Ironically, it is called a Manhattan.
