at CNN. You don't do it all at once. They know they have ratings with the liberal bloc. Firing all four at once would make it look too much like a political purge, plus it would be hard to line up new talent to fill all those spots at once.

The "sensible" solution is to take down the biggest of them right away, and let it serve as a warning to the others to toe the line or else.

I would expect Rachel and Ed to be cut loose, one after the other, by summer at the latest. O'Donnell will probably "get the message," adopt an ultra-"centrist" tone, and will be allowed to continue along with Matthews. I'm sure Cenk will be phased out quietly, and center-right voices brought in to fill the slots of the departed progressives.
