If CNN's reporting is accurate, Keith Olbermann was FIRED - he did not quit
From CNN:

The liberal commentator told viewers he had been informed "this was going to be the last edition" of his show, but offered no further details.

NBC/Universal confirmed the news in a statement Friday night.

I'm already seeing spin that Keith has "left MSNBC"... That implies he's walking away from his job instead of being forced out.

1. The way he was talking, it sounded like he was fired.
Talking about being told tonight was his last show.

8. This is what he said
"I think the same fantasy has popped into the head of everybody in my business who have been told what ive been told, that this is going to be the last edition of your show"

Almost an exact quote there.

4. Maybe, but CNN has vested interest in smearing MSNBC
I just want to get the whole story from someone other than MSNBC's chief rival.

5. I thought that was obvious.
Three hours ago he is happily tweeting showplugs. Two hours ago, he tweets there will be a change in the Thurber. I assume to make room for the farewell announcement.

It would be wrong to wish harm to the ComCast high echelon. I certainly do not desire them to slip and fall on the ice or in the bathtub.
