There are early-termination and non-disclosure clauses that are useful as bargaining chips.
I personally think the split was amicable and KO has already lined up a new show.

19. "amicable"?? when it is announced 5 minutes before the end of the show? |
|
I think KO is too classy to have done that to his viewers by choice.

...he isn't landing anywhere soon.
Probably, he'll be taking time off and writing a book or something. But don't expect to seem him anywhere on television until 2013. :-(

Right now she is at Sundance buying product.
Why not add a news division?

17. If he wants to return to television once the gag clause is over... |
|
...going to radio would be a monumentally-stupid decision.
The sad fact is, radio programming in the vast majority of this country is 100% conservative. There may be a few progressive outlets in larger cities, but, outside of them, you can drive coast-to-coast and find nothing but right-wing talk. If he were to start a radio show, even if he was immediately picked up by all those stations, and became their top draw, his ratings would look pitiful next to the Limbaughs, Becks, and O'Reillys. So, when Comcast's non-compete clause was over, and he wanted to go back to television, the reaction from those networks that might be thinking about taking him on would be "hmmmmm...maybe he isn't as popular as we all thought."
If Keith wants to get back to television, he'd be wise to stay far, far away from radio for the duration.
