Passion is what moves the average American today. Not truth, not logic, but passion. BUT when you combine truth, logic AND passion like Olbermann did, you've got something that SCARES the capitalists.

Ed will be next. Rachael is GREAT, but she doesn't have the overt passion that KO and Ed have.

Ed's just a middling, ever-so-slightly left of center hack who unfortunately has a bloviating tone. In my opinion. (I know Ed has his fans on the DU, but I have never been one of them, couldn't stand his radio show and never liked or watched the TV show.)

I predict Rachel is gone within 6 months, if not sooner. GEM$NBComcast may think she might be more pliable and easier to influence, but I think they will be very surprised to find out that she's as tough as Keith, if not tougher.

but she's not as overtly PASSIONATE as Olbermann or Shultz is. That's why she'll last. She's more analytical (which is what I LOVE about her, BTW) and that doesn't scare them like passion tied to truth and logic does. They can just find a RWer to shout over her.
