Serious Question: Do I 86 Comcast for Verizon?
Edited on Fri Jan-21-11 10:45 PM by LibraLiz1973
Or is it all the same kettle of fish?

On Edit: I'm asking this question because of the Comcast/NBC merger. There has to be an alternative to supporting a monopoly.

10. Yep
they give thousands to Democrats, mostly senate.

They were friends with McCain, but in 08, they supported Hillary and held a fundraiser at their home.

4. We switch to Verizon Fios a few years ago.
We get tv, phone, and internet. Comcast was AWFUL. Fios has been rock solid.

The tv part is comparable in terms of choice, but again, never an outage.

9. I had the same experience.
Comcast = Awful, awful product.
FiOS = Rock solid.

There's no comparison. Go with Verizon.
And tell Comcast why you're cancelling.

12. Same here a couple miles down the road, Stinky. We dumped Comcast
three years ago. Best decision ever.

I am still stunned. Time for another beer.

8. I respect and admire your choice. It is not for me.
I like my tv and make no apologies for it. My intent is to be able to continue enjoying my television and internet without giving money to Comcast.

11. Verizon is a heavy republican party contributor.
Many of the bigwigs in Comcast are actually democrats, one of whom ran for Kennedy's Senate seat in Massachusetts. Think and research before you jump.

Not sure how I feel about it as yet.
