How bad does it have to get?
Edited on Thu Dec-16-10 10:15 PM by kentuck
Before the wealthiest and the upper middle class feel the need to sacrifice along with everyone else? They never have enough. They always want more, more, more, more...

But we have people that have not worked in months and months, some turning into years. We have mothers and their children on the streets and homeless. We have children going to schools without enough to eat.

But we don't want anyone to sacrifice.

Let's give the wealthy two more years of the give-away taxcuts passed under George W Bush almost 10 years ago. They have successfully destroyed this government and they don't even know it. They wanted to drown it in a bathtub but instead, they have strangled it on its sickbed. They did not want to pay the taxes to keep it alive.

The lies, deceit, hypocrisy, greed, and general arrogance overwhelm all other needs of our society.

I have come to the conclusion that there is only one way to shed the yoke of such decadent government. They must be replaced by the people. The American people do not support the Republican Party or Republican ideas, contrary to what they keep screaming.

We have politicians too blind to see that we do not have jobs because they permitted all of them to go overseas where the labor was cheap and plentiful. Since they, the royalists, have become the top 5%-10% of income "earners" in this nation, they cannot sympathize with the 45 million people making less than $20,000 per year. Greed within the walls of our Congress.

Who said the revolution will not be televised?

2. This:
"They wanted to drown it in a bathtub but instead, they have strangled it on its sickbed."

is brilliant.

How we are going to change this I do not know, but I know it is up to us. We are not gonna get help from the politicians, nor truth from the media. It's up to us.

11. 300 Million Revolutions
Each person revolts in their own way as best they can. A silent Revolution where no person conspires with another. There are no leaders. We do not exist. We are Anonymous. Expect us.

15. Agreed. Nothing else will phase them.
And they need not fear any retribution until the average 'Murkin stops worshiping riches and fame; stops considering the haves more worthy; stops genuflecting to the "free market".

18. No, death they are not afraid of,
they'll jump out an office window to their deaths to avoid .... POVERTY.

Lets take everything they HAVE from them.Take every asset they claim. Lets make them be POOR. And make their families go hungry, BROKE and HOMELESS,no more pity FOR THEM, take away thier healthcare, thier comforts, and LET THEM BE HATED,overcharged ,harassed and discriminated, shunned and spat on every day for the rest of their lives.Let them slowly be ground down by poverty and social rejection and the stress that the poor& minorities face day after day in this country until they all DIE..ALONE ,hated, poor and broken,no one caring for them,anymore..let their dead bodies rot in the gutter,in a landfill, nameless,forgotten.FOREVER.

4. Unfortortunately, 2/3 of the population is just fine, thankyewverymuch
They'd prefer executing the other third and burying them in trenches, or maybe hunting them for sport, to paying a single penny to help change the employment situation.

5. I share your disgust.
I would add that, lately, some of those with "Republican ideas" seem to sit on both sides of the aisle.

I don't see how we can reclaim government of, by and for the people without being willing to piss off a lot of very powerful people in OUR party. I would support a general strike, but I'm afraid too many would want to use the time off to catch up on their tivos of "Dancing With the Stars" and "Survivor".

As long as cable TV, fast food and adult beverages aren't interrupted, most of our countrymen aren't going to get involved in anything remotely disruptive.

So, how do we interrupt them?

6. There is nothing like pain to focus the mind...
Let the Republicans run the show for a while. They will get focused rather quickly, would be my guess. Such is the price for vincible ignorance.

14. The Great Depression 2 is here. It's gonna take a draft to get people to wake up
except that the bastard powers that be are using the Great Depression 2 to get people so desperate they will join the military so a draft won't be necessary.

Which means the powers that be can can continue to make gazillions of dollars on their ENDLESS WARS.

:grr:

17. The worse it gets in general the less they will feel like sharing the pain with you
It always happens like this. Beyond a little inconvenience and a couple months discomfort they will accept and insist on any draconian measures that are needed keep their personal gravy train running.
