Rather than aborting the Bay of Pigs operation, JFK decided to botch it. Rather than getting out of Vietnam, JFK escalated the conflict.

4. Yep, escalating them by withdrawing from Iraq and setting a date for Afghanistan.
He's so sneaky, he's escalating them by appearing to withdraw!

6. Pantload.
Replacing troops with "private contractors" is not exactly withdrawing.

Setting a date for Afghanistan? Are you serious? We'll be there for the next 60 years. (If our fascist empire lasts that long, which is unlikely.)

5. Kicked and recced, still zero. But well said.
People forget that the "heroes" of yesteryear were every bit as bound by politics and limited judgment as candidates are today. Hell: Roosevelt screwed up a bunch of times be overreaching, not to mention being responsible for approving fucking internment camps for Japanese-Americans.

8. Unrec.
Maybe we could have learned something from the past.

Can't believe people are giving Obama a pass on his fucked policies, merely because previous presidents have screwed up too.

Weak, weak argument.

9. -1 I can't believe people give Kennedy a pass on his
fucked policies just because he was assassinated.

10. What policies would those be?
President Kennedy kept us at peace when his advisers counseled war during the Bay of Pigs and the Cuban Missile Crisis.
He even ordered America's withdrawal from Vietnam.
President Kennedy worked to bring justice to all Americans.
President Kennedy got us heading for the moon.

And he did all that and more in 1,036 days.
