Authorities say American veterans of the Vietnam War have helped locate a mass grave of 81 Communist soldiers who died in battle more than 40 years ago. snip

About 58,000 Americans and 3 million Vietnamese died in the Vietnam War. It ended in 1975 when communist North Vietnamese forces overran Saigon, the former capital of U.S.-backed South Vietnam.

1. K&R- The NVA-North Vietnamese Army routinely buried the bodies of
what we called the Viet Cong-South Vietnamese volunteers supporting the North-in unmarked mass graves or in the side walls of tunnels extending for miles in then South Vietnam. Most of these sites were never marked in any way.
