 Olbermann was born January 27, 1959, in New York City to Marie Katherine (née Charbonier) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Keith_Olbermann

2. He doesn't play their game...... |
|
.....and he would lose control of his message in all that mess. Keith is about exposing lies, and we know what happens to those in government who are whistle-blowers. He's much more effective as a voice for liberals on the outside, without a ban on what he can or cannot say.

Sure, she spews tea nagger, but not truth. Truth is tightly controlled in government, as we have witnessed in the Assange case. You are not comparing apples to apples.

8. You mean as in classified stuff? |
|
That would or should be the only limitation. I'm just thinking that people are way more outrageous than anything Keith says.

9. Goverment office does not provide the venue he needs |
|
He'll be looking for more freedom of what he says, not less. KO is known for his critique of everything, even his own network or bosses. He would be a fish out of water in government. I want to hear it all, not just what they want me to hear.

10. To be "great" he would need to be elected and that would be problematic |
|
unless he ran in a Liberal area. Besides, he seems to be a better critic from the outside rather than a member of the club.

I don't think he would be a very good candidate.

12. Right, that's all we need is more entertainers in office rather than politicians. |
|
Again, just because someone is popular and believes some of the same things you do, DOES NOT mean they would be a good politician.

13. This particular brand of idiocy... |
|
...is bi-partisan and immortal. If, say, the Kansas City Royals suck, the answer is to get 25 better baseball players, not 25 fabulous personalities with a certain love of baseball.
But the DU dream of politics-without-politicians is durable if nothing else.
