1. But
There's 98% of US and 2% of THEM.

Surely we can do better than this. Are we really all this stupid and docile and ignorant?

2. We've been fucked.
Some say since December, 2001 when a president was appointed by the SC. Some say since Reagan killed the unions.

But it's been coming for a long time now.

I wonder if I am the only one not surprised by what happened to Keith.

3. well, much as I despise the ousting of Keith
I don't believe he's the only progressive voice. And I don't feel entirely fucked. On a local/state level, I'm very hopeful.

4. The Private owners of the Free Press are not required to extend...

freedom of the Press to their employees anymore than they are required to extend freedom of speech to their employees.

Rather than expect a few brave individuals to stand up, we will need to develop a Samizdat media, posting stories here and elsewhere, and sending out those stories to people we know.

And if they shut down the Internet, then we may have to return to printing news on mimeograph machines and running illegal underground radio stations and vigorous, non-violent non-compliance with the law.

5. There probably is a perfectly civil method of addressing.
Corporate control, monopoly and using money to dominate societies rules, and systems that do not care about the people in them.

Been trying to think of a method to correct those problems for years, and as I have said before, I have no idea how to correct the issues with civility, however I wont be violent, nor turn to those methods.

So once again, What has Keith lost? What have they lost? What has anyone lost?

No voice? Isn't that what happened to Gabby also? Don't you see what they are afraid of? People speaking up.

That alone is a reason to speak up.

6. Civility Police could be responsible. I heard NBC is toning
things down since the Tuscon Incident.

11. If that were true, O'Donnell would have been fired with Keith

This has everything to do with Comcast's purchase of NBC and Comcast being run by a right wing conservative and Bush crony.

10. They couldn't get rid of Olbermann, Maddow and O'Donnell at the same time

So they started with Keith.

Damocles Sword is hanging over the others.

I was right about what was going to happen to Keith when the purchase was approved and I'll bet I'll be right about Rachel and Larry.
