A short-lived icon of Virginia Politics passed away
Hank the Cat, a write-in candidate for the US Senate from Virginia in 2012 passed away. Because the Virginia’s State Board of Elections does not add up how many write-in votes any individual candidates get it's uncertain how many votes the plucky feline received.
The Washington Post reports he received at least 13 votes in Fairfax County and probably got at least 20 more. It's possible, though unlikely, he may have received 1,000 votes or more.

1. I'm having a hard time understanding the significance of Hank
the cat as a write in candidate. Now if he would have received ten thousand votes.....

Where does Hank stand on the issues? I mean, how does he feel about over harvest of threatened fish stocks?
