Another bloodless coup to silence the rif raf. How long before Ed and Rachel are gone?

1. I bet within a year or so we won't even recognize the news lineup on MSNBC. IMO this
is just the beginning. RW media in the US will expand now with Comcast as the net on the masses tightens to bring them into line with the authoritarians and RW propaganda.

3. Maybe not. Here's another look at the situation:
http://www.salon.com/news/keith_olbermann/index.html?story=/politics/war_room/2011/01/21/countdown_rip

This article suggests that Olbermann was so successful at MSNBC that they hired Maddow, Schultz and O'Donnell to cater to a more liberal audience -- and now that they've got those programs and that audience they no longer need KO (who is known to be difficult to work with). I don't know; we'll have to see how it plays out. I am hesitant to boycott MSNBC at this point because I want to keep Maddow, et al. on the air.

4. That is the second or third post like that.

You don't understand how it works do you. They have to go after groups to make it seem like those groups are futile.

It is how curses work also. People curse someone, then point at them and say they must be not liked because they are in hardship, not saying they actually did the curseing.

It is the concept of 'what you have' defining your worth.

So someone does damage to some group, then says because the damage could be done, that group is hurt.

They also prop people up to look like they are part of a group, then cut them down so the group looks like it was hurt.

I liked many things Keith said and did, shrug, him being off or on the air doesn't change any of that.

Look at the left groups. There was a song with beast and zombies in the lyrics, there is 'fire dog lake' there is a news outlet 'daily beast' they are all set up to freak out or offend people on the right that are freaked out by label trap.

Many of them are not for the left but to hurt the left with 70% of the population. You give way to much credit to what is on TV and its effects.

Keith did pretty good on air, even if he did miss some things, and not do some things. That doesn't change by him not being on TV

6. It's like Seinfeld. He stopped when he was still somewhat relevant.
His Raison De Etre was Bush. Bush left, and he did get kinda silly. His purpose was gone. He is loved for his backsass, just like Murtha. Now, we must all mature, and become self hyperbole sustaining. I see a very bright future. And the insular rethugs and baggers will deliver it, If we grow up.

8. "Self Hyperbole Sustaining"?

Is that your notion of an effective political strategy?

And I don't know if you've noticed, but Rush Limbaugh has been around for a hell of a long time, through a number of administrations, both Democratic and Republican. But you're telling us that with Bush gone, KO somehow had no further purpose? I guess that level playing fields have no place in your "very bright future"......

9. We will not find half as many idiots as Rush will. And yes, as soon as we grow up, we will rule.

5. Other voices are still speaking, you know.
We are not "fucked." Your saying we are is evidence of nothing. I wish it had not happened. It happened. I'll still be listening to all the voices, on MSNBC and elsewhere.
