In support of Keith watch and encourage others to watch the SOTU on CSPAN |
Edited on Sat Jan-22-11 12:49 PM by wndycty
Folks, just like you I a not happy with Keith being forced out at MSNBC, that being said I am concerned about any protest that would do harm to Ed Schultz, Rachel Maddow and Lawrence O'Donnell, all whom are still there fighting the good fight on MSNBC. That being said we need to make a statement by symbolically turning off MSNBC on the night of the State of the Union.
Please join me in encouraging everyone to watch the State of the Union, as well as its pre and post coverage on CSPAN.

1. I have to think about this. I am 'mad as hell' that Keith is gone but afraid |
that turning off MSNBC will hurt the only ones we have left! What to do.

3. That is why I propose we only turn it off for the State of the Union. . . |
. . .we will still need to support Rachel, Lawrence and Ed, but we can send a message by turning it off on the night of the State of the Union.

5. OK but I REALLY want to hear the opinions of Rachel, Lawrence and ED |
because it should tell us a lot about how Keith's dismissal effects their reporting. BUT, I understand your opinion...it's a dilemma.

4. I prefer CSPAN anyways because I find the news bulletins crawling |
across the bottom of the screen very distracting.

7. I am turning off MSNBC Permanently |
Yes, I'll watch SOTU on CSpan (or wherever KO is a commentator)... As for MSNBC / Combast, let it continue to elevate the nation with its beloved prison crap. I can still listen to Ed on radio, hope Matthews takes over Meet the Press from the wimpy Gregory, and think Rachel will land on her feet. (I'm no longer watching Jon Stewart, for his "false equivalency" stupidity.) MSNBC/Comcast can take a flying leap (which it did the minute it forced KO to resign.) His was/is a uniquely courageous fighting voice against Fox disinformation, Obama sellout-ism, the continued undermining of democracy, and moral degeneration in general.

9. I can't turn on MSNBC because I've never turned it on, or any of the rest of them. |
But I could pretend to symbolically turn off MSNBC and I could pretend to watch the SOTU as well.

10. Be sure to also include FreeSpeech TV. Stream it through |
Comcast if you cannot get on cable and satellite is not an option for you.
