Where do we go from here?
Edited on Sat Jan-22-11 01:04 PM by BanzaiBonnie
The corporate owners had their coup last year with the Citizens United decision. They are truly the corporate masters.

Now GE, Big Daddy of the industrial/military complex is out to crush ALL opposition with the ouster of any media persons who might actually have the balls to stand up to them. Keith Olbermann was the first big blow. Watch for coming attractions.

Let’s think this thing through. I will never advocate violence. However, I will continue working through all other means to protect my country, my community and my family. Now, without advocating violence or employing violent rhetoric, can we discuss a plan of action? How can we undermine the takeover of our government? Or do we need to?

Brainstorming session...

To me, the best course of action will be one in which we neither rebel nor submit.

Is there a way out of the old paradigm in which we can leave the corporations behind? I truly believe they are dinosaurs who are obsolete. How do we step away from them?

1. After I catch a buzz, I'm going out in the snow w/ my 2 Labradors
and play for a while.
Then I plan to read some of a novel I'm in the middle of...
Later, I'll plan dinner.
Neither rebellion nor submission.

4. One way is to start to ignore them. Don't deal with big banks and the like, cut
back to necessities of life, try to get people to pay attention when they vote. None of this will probably work in America wherein many feel they must have the latest whatever, but I do think corporations are obsolete, because they tear apart the fabric of what makes a country human.

5. Build your own community
Food, resources, trade and barter. Cut out the middle men and conduct as much of your business as possible locally.

Drop out of the huge system that has been constructed around us. It no longer serves us and we will refuse to serve IT. Take it apart by not adding to it.

8. Yeah. Quit watching the damn channels! Sheesh.
IT's not neurosurgery.
The same pricks that control rush and glen, also control ed and keith.
They don't give 2 shits about how well they are communicating a message. They are in it for the money.
Luckily for you, they're already struggling.
So don't watch the channel anymore.

It was Keith Olberman, not Nelson MAndela.
