While I will agree that there's a lot of shit on television, I think dismissing it as a "propaganda tool" is on par with tinfoil hattery. Please, explain to me how Mike Rowe is hypnotizing me when he mucks out a sewer on Dirty Jobs. Explain to me how Adam Richman is making me fat when he stuffs his face on Man vs. Food. Blaming TV for our problems is essentially throwing personal responsibility right out the window. It's akin to me eating McDonald's three meals a day for a year and then suing them when I get diabetes (and don't tell me that it's too hard to tell that McDonalds is bad for you. Even if you don't have a head for numbers you know McDonald's food is shit.)

You don't like TV? Fine--don't watch. But don't tell those of us who enjoy some programs that we're all just brainless sheep.

I, too, enjoy some programs on TV, like "Duck Soup" on Turner Classic Movies the other night. I also like Tony Bourdain's "No Reservations", for example.

The term "corpofascist elite" is apropos, and is the best alternative to the word "nazi," since we are apparently no longer allowed to use it anymore without invoking the wrath of Godwin's Cyberarmy.
